I started my Gretsch obsession sometime in the 2000’s, having really gotten into the playing style many of its signature artists, I got my very first Gretsch (well my Dad did for me) – a Gretsch 6131T Power Jet Firebird, around 2007. I played a few in the shop, and it was between this and the more western styled Round-Up – both had the same body style and similar specs but…red goes faster. After having fun with the G6120RHH illustration, I thought it’s time to pay homage to my own battleaxe, the legendary Firebird.
